How do I add feedback to an idea?
Adding feedback to ideas allows you to track the impact of feedback against your product backlog, providing you with validation as to which problems to solve.
There are a few options available to link feedback to ideas:
Turning feedback into an idea
Using the create button
You can turn feedback into an idea by clicking on "Add to idea" button within the feedback itself.
This will pop out the slider and allow you enter the name of the new idea. The original feedback will be appended to the idea itself, adding one point for customer desire.
Using the highlighter
If you receive a really long piece of text or email from a client, it's sometimes much easier to highlight a piece of text and turn that into an idea instead of trying to break it up into multiple pieces of feedback!
Simply highlight the text you wish to turn into an idea (or a separate piece of feedback) and click on the green button below the editor.
Adding feedback to an existing idea
You can link feedback to an existing idea by clicking on "Add to idea" and button within the feedback itself and finding the idea.
Every piece of feedback linked to the idea will count as a new point for customer desire.
To link multiple pieces of feedback to an idea at once, you can use the bulk update settings.
Simply select all feedback you want to link, click on bulk update and either select or create the new idea.
Linking feedback from within an idea
To link existing feedback from within an idea, go to the idea tab and click on "Add feedback." You will be given the option to add new feedback or link to an existing one.
If you choose to add an existing one, a slider will pop out allowing you to search for the content of the feedback and link it straight in.
To unlink items, select the item from the list view and click on 'unlink' on the contextual menu that appears.
