AI Idea Descriptions & Vision Alignment

When you're capturing an Idea, ProdPad's AI can write a first-draft description for you, and separately, tell you how well that Idea aligns with your Product Vision. Together they help you move from a rough thought to a well-framed, on-strategy Idea faster.

What it does

Generate AI Idea description takes your Idea title and turns it into a fuller description, saving you from starting with a blank page.

Idea to Vision alignment compares the Idea against the Product's vision, strategy and value, and gives you a read on how well the Idea supports where the product is trying to go — useful for prioritization conversations and for challenging Ideas that don't clearly ladder up to anything.

How to find it

Open the Idea Canvas or the Quick add slideout.
Enter an Idea title, then use the AI action to generate a description.
On the Idea Canvas, use the Vision alignment action to check the Idea against your linked Product.

Only the Idea title is sent for the description feature specifically, so keep PII out of that field if that matters to you. For sharper output, make sure your Product Vision and Description are filled in — see Getting the most out of the AI features.
