Feedback Automations

Feedback Automations are pre-defined rules that trigger specific tasks or actions related to your Feedback when certain conditions are met. The rules follow the below format:

When x action is performed on Feedback, y action is triggered.

For example – the rule: “ When Feedback is linked to an Idea, the existing Feedback attributes (such as products, personas, and tags) are automatically added to the Idea” means that when you link a piece of Feedback to an Idea, its attributes are instantly carried over, saving you time and ensuring important context isn’t lost.

The aim of Feedback Automations is to streamline and simplify how you organize and manage Feedback in ProdPad, helping you save time, prioritize more effectively, and keep your customer insights structured and actionable.

If you don't see the rule you need in the automation list, you can request it by clicking this link here. If we receive enough requests for that particular rule, we'll add it to the Automations for you. You'll also be able to access the request from by navigating to Settings > Account Settings > Automations and clicking the "Request an automation" button. 

Available Feedback Automations

Add Feedback attributes to linked Idea

This rule means that feedback attributes (products, persona and tags) will be automatically added to the Idea when the two are linked. This guide explains how to link Ideas and Feedback. 

Add Idea attributes to linked Feedback

Like the above, this automation means that Idea attributes (products, persona and tags) will be automatically added to Feedback when the two are linked. This guide explains how to link Ideas and Feedback. 

Add Feedback Persona to Contacts

This rule creates an automation for when a Persona is linked to Feedback. 

Once the Persona is added to the Feedback, the Persona will be automatically added to the Contact who provided the Feedback. 

Include Attributes From Source Feedback When Creating a New Idea from Feedback

This rule creates an automation for when a new Idea is created from Feedback.

Once the Idea is created and linked to the Feedback, the new Idea will automatically inherit the Products, Personas, and Tags from the source Feedback.

The Idea will then include the attributes from the source Feedback.

Inherit Attributes When Creating New Feedback From Existing Feedback

This rule creates an automation for when new Feedback is created from existing Feedback.

Once the new Feedback is created and linked, it will automatically inherit the Products, Personas, and Tags from the original Feedback, ensuring consistency and saving time when managing related insights.

The Feedback will then include the attributes from the source Feedback.

Add Feedback Attributes to an Idea When Linking Feedback

This rule creates an automation for when Feedback is linked to an Idea.

Once the Feedback is linked to the Idea, the Products, Personas, and Tags from the Feedback will automatically be added to the linked Idea, helping maintain consistency and saving time during the linking process.

The Idea will then include the attributes from the source Feedback.
