What do I do when I’m under pressure to start making product changes?

As a product manager, you will always be under pressure to ship new things. Don’t give in!

Shipping more doesn’t mean that you’re shipping quality.

To ensure you are shipping the right things, first consider the current state of affairs. If you don’t have a tracking system yet, consider adding one.

Take a look at your current features and assess the usage - are your clients using certain features more than others? For the features that are being used less, do a little bit of research and figure out if these are actually useful and if they should be improved or dropped completely.

Remember - it’s not about shipping features, it’s about shipping solutions. You can most certainly make a case for this by tracking usage and getting feedback from your clients.
